Over the last 23 years John and Janice have made many changes to the original bakery. The café was opened in 1996 with the conservatory added in 1997.The bakery is very busy in the tourist season, offering a wide range of breads, rolls, pastries, pies and cakes. Everything is made on the premises by Johnny the baker. The café side has a range of food from a simple bowl of soup to freshly battered Fish and chips. Everything is cooked to order ensuring absolute freshness. A takeaway service is available all day into the evening, offering again a wide range of choice. Recently added to the range is the Isle of Skye's all butter shortbread. It is also available in certain stores in Skye. Hoping this part of the business will grow accordingly, the shortbread is available to buy by mail order. It is truly delicious and made with only the best ingredients.
